A national recruitment agency is expanding its North East presence with a move to a bigger office.
JDR Recruitment moved into the region last year as part of its plan to have representation in all areas of the UK.
Initially, the company took on a small office at Traynor Business Park in Peterlee, with the company’s North East portfolio run by experienced recruitment professionals Shelley Ward and Nicola Kirton.
Now, 16 months later, JDR has confirmed plans to move to a larger office within the same development, which will allow the businesswomen to add to their team.
Shelley said: “Our move into the North East has been very successful and we’re now looking at expanding the portfolio of clients we support.
“Our first office was perfect for us. As a start up, we didn’t want to take on a space that was too big or too costly. So, Andy and Brian from Traynor Business Park adapted a meeting room within Traynor House and converted it into an office for myself and Nicola, which meant we could have a professional base from which to grow.”
JDR, Just Dynamic Recruitment, provides temporary and permanent staff to companies across a range of sectors, including manufacturing, professional services, cleaning, and engineering.
The company has offices across the UK, in cities including Leeds, Manchester, Bristol, Dundee, Glasgow and Belfast.
Nicola added: “By the end of last year we knew we needed a bigger office. Because of the growth that we’ve undertaken since opening our North East office in Peterlee, we are at the point where we need to add to the team, and to do that we need more space.
“Andy and Brian have been so helpful and have found us an office in Traynor North which will give us the extra space we need and enable us to start and recruit for another member of staff, possibly two.”

“When Shelley and Nicola came to see us, we didn’t actually have a suite that fit the bill in terms of size, so what we agreed to do was convert a meeting room into an office. This was perfect for them as they didn’t want to commit to something that wasn’t manageable.
“Now, following major growth, they are ready to move into a bigger suite, and we have found them something that ticks all the boxes in Traynor North.
“It’s great to see them doing so well, and I am delighted that we have played a part in their successful move into the North East.”
Traynor Business Park consists of three buildings, two of which are multi-occupancy, while the third is home to flagship tenant Everflow as well as the park’s on-site gym and café.
