County Durham-based housing association believe housing is looking for two new non-executive directors to join its board.
Valued members Chair Judith Common, Vice Chair Doug Ross and Gurpreet Jagpal will all leave the board later this year after completing their maximum terms of office.
Reserve board member Michelle Meldrum will fill one of their places from 3 October 2023, leaving two positions vacant.
Judith said believe housing is a confident, aspiring, and energetic organisation which believes in the power of doing more.
People who share its vision of “we believe in life without barriers”, from all backgrounds and with a variety of lived experiences, are encouraged to apply for what she describes as an “interesting, challenging and rewarding” role.
“We are looking to appoint two board members who offer financial expertise and commercial depth alongside the right attitude and behaviours,” said Judith.
“We are interested to hear from candidates who demonstrate diversity of thought, the ability to apply new thinking in pursuit of our established goals and who are keen to contribute to the leadership of our organisation.
“The believe housing board culture is one where you do not have to be limited to the narrowness of your particular expertise, nor do you have to have all the right answers.
“Instead, you need to be up for good quality debate that leads to robust and consensus-based decision-making.”
