Little Mix’s Jade Thirlwall has enlisted the help of a Newcastle based illustrator to design a football shirt inspired by her home town.
The singer, who comes from South Shields, first met James Dixon in April when he provided artwork, based on icons from around the town, for her bar Arbeia.
The meeting resulted in a collaboration on a t-shirt design for South Shields FC.
The shirt is available from the club’s official store and all profits raised from sales will be donated to the Cancer Connections charity.
James said: “Working with Jade was fantastic and we’re both really proud of the design and being able to help such a fantastic cause.”
Cancer Connections, also based in South Shields, is a charity dedicated to serving individuals and families suffering from cancer and its after-effects.
Jade, who won The X Factor in 2011, is a patron of the charity.
