Peterlee company and East Durham Business Network founding member LEC has agreed two annual sponsorship deals with grass-roots football teams.
Communications and design firm, LEC, which is based at Novus Business Centre in Peterlee, has been confirmed as the new kit sponsor of the Norton and Stockton Ancients Girls’ Under 10s football team.
The firm, which was founded by managing director Leanne Fawcett (pictured above, far left) in 2012, has agreed an annual package which has enabled the team coaches to invest in new kits for the girls, including training and match tops and coats.
It comes following the successful sponsorship deal of the team’s winter coats, which ran through the 2019-2020 season.
Leanne’s daughter Darcey (pictured above centre), who is nine, plays for the team.
LEC has also signed a season-long sponsorship deal for the Kader FC Under-11 boys’ team, which sees the LEC logo displayed on the team’s matchday kits.
The opportunity to sponsor the team came about as Leanne’s son Quin (pictured right, first boy on the back row), ten years old, plays for the Middlesbrough-based boys’ team.
Both Norton and Stockton Ancients’ Under 10s and Kader FC Under 11s’ strips made their debuts at tournaments at Flamingo Land.
Leanne Fawcett said: “I am delighted to have agreed this lucrative sponsorship deal, which will see the recently re-branded LEC logo displayed across the girls’ and boys’ team kits.
“It’s great exposure for LEC as we continue to bounce back following the challenges which the coronavirus pandemic presented – 2021 has been an excellent year for the business with several new clients brought on board.
“I am keen to keep that momentum going by putting the brand in front of as many new audiences as possible, to support my plans for the growth of the business.”
