A well-established family business has announced further investment to bolster its already impressive range of industry-leading lighting.
Harbro Electrical has expanded its catalogue of LED lighting, which incorporates the latest technology to make them anti-glare, anti-vandal and fully adjustable.
The light can be used in a variety of settings, including schools, sport halls, toilets, changing rooms and factories. They can even be used for street and outdoor lighting.
Phil said: “We are always looking at market trends and speaking to our suppliers so we can ensure we’re able to offer our customers the absolute best lighting and electrical products.
“We have built a reputation for not only the quality of our stock, but also the quantity of products we have available to purchase. You won’t find the range we offer from our Peterlee showroom anywhere else in the North East and that’s why people come to us.
“This new range of lighting can save businesses a lot of money and reduce their energy usage, as they can be very easily controlled so you are only using the strength and amount of lighting you need to.
“Now is the time to think about lighting. I know it is the summer so the need for lighting is reduced, however forward planning means we can conduct and audit on your current usage and requirements so that come the darker autumn and winter nights you are good to go.”
Harbro Electrical can trace its roots back to 1994, when it started from a shop in Horden.
However, the business quickly grew which led to a move to Whitworth Road on the South West Industrial Estate and the renaming of the business to Harbro Electrical Ltd.
Today, it is run by Managing Director Phil Harbord, his brother David and wife Jackie with 11 people employed and a £2m turnover.
Harbro Electrical invested over £30,000 in the new range of products and have already successfully teamed up with a school in Hartlepool to install new lighting throughout the building.
And Phil believes other schools and colleges could really benefit from this new range. He added: “The summer holidays are coming up so it’s the ideal time for schools and colleges to have us conduct audits of their current lighting. In fact, we have several projects at educational centres around the area already booked so we’re expecting a busy few months towards as we head towards the darker nights.”
